In For A Treat

So you are heading to Amsterdam for their Tulip Festivals. You are surely in for a treat. April is peak season for the Tulip Gardens around Amsterdam.

Red and Gold Tulips

Above we show a small selection of Red and Gold tulips. These were at Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse. Our visit to the gardens was on 20th April. Bookings are essential at that time of year.

We had a time slice of about 4 hours to wander the gardens and grab a bite to eat. The day was cool, slightly overcast and we had zero rain whilst in the gardens.

If you visit the Keukenhof Gardens you will get to see more varieties than just Tulips. There will be Daffodils and many other colourful flower gardens.

If you will be travelling to the tulip gardens, plan to stay in Amsterdam. There are plenty of hotels and lots of great food outlets. And also some great bars for when you need to relax with a beverage. Many well organised tours are available from Amsterdam where they collect you and take you by coach to the flower gardens.
